Six Nations Greatest Moments

CREATIVE REVIEW: SIX NATIONS GREATEST MOMENTS CLIENT: BBC Sport BRIEF: Gabby Logan celebrates rugby’s Six Nations Greatest Moments with classic archive and untold stories from Rugby Legends Jonny Wilkinson, Brian O’Driscoll, the Hastings Brothers- Gavin and Scott, Bill Beaumont, Sir Clive Woodward, Will Carling, Matt Dawson, Thomas Castaignede, Serge Betsen, Gareth Edwards, Jonathan Davies, Keith Wood and Martin Johnson. There are also fun anecdotes from famous rugby fans including Dermot O’Leary, Sir Terry Wogan, Alex Jones and Katherine Jenkins capturing the uniqueness and magic of this event that is the envy of world Rugby. HOW IT WAS DONE: D3 archive material played a big part in the production alongside new footage shot on Sony F5. All rushes were transcoded to DNX120 onto our ISIS interplay system meaning no need for a conform which suited the fast turnaround nature of the production. While offline and assemble was taking place, producers and programme executives used Avid Central UX to view cuts and sequences from home, saving countless hours in the offline by not disturbing the edit for viewings. Senior colourist Jamie Parry brought the archive to life while complementing the F5 Interview footage using Baselight grade. Luke Williams mixed the final audio using Pro Tools V10. CREDITS: Colourist, Jamie Parry; Editors, Rob Ryan, Lee Eynon; Audio, Luke Williams. EQUIPMENT USED: Avid v7 and Baselight. WATCH IT: March 2015 #dock10.
