G. T. FARLEY 31 st May, 1942. Clerk to the Advisory Council. (J/337/33) DRAFT. AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE KEGISTRATION OF BUSINESS NAMES ORDINANCE, 1935. BE IT ENACTED by the High Commissioner for Palestine, with the advice of the Advisory Council thereof :— 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Registration of Business Short title. Names (Amendment) Ordinance, 1942, and shall be read as one with the Registration of Business Names Ordinance, 1935, herein• No. 23 of 1935. after referred to as the principal Ordinance. 2. Section 17 of the principal Ordinance is hereby repealed and Eepeal and the following section substituted therefor :— replacement of section 17 of "17. The High Commissioner may by order appoint any the principal officer to be the Registrar of Business Names for the purpose of Ordinance. this Ordinance." OBJECTS AND REASONS. Section 17 of the Registration of Business Names Ordinance, 1935 (Ordinance No. 23 of 1935), the principal Ordinance, provides that the Director of Customs, Excise and Trade shall be the Registrar for the purposes of the Ordinance. 2. The object of this Bill is to amend the principal Ordinance by repeal of section 17 and its replacement to empower the appointment of any officer as Registrar. W. J. FITZGERALD 31st May, 1942.
