_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ STATUTORY RULES OF NORTHERN IRELAND ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1997 No. 416 ROAD TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 13) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997 Made 15th September 1997 Coming into operation 29th September 1997 WHEREAS the Department of the Environment has consulted such persons as the Department considered appropriate in compliance with paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 5 to the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997(a); AND WHEREAS notice has been published in compliance with paragraphs 1 and 3 of that Schedule; AND WHEREAS no written objection or other representation has been received; NOW THEREFORE the Department, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 37(3)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 13) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997 and shall come into operation on 29th September 1997. De-restriction of speed on certain roads 2. The Department hereby directs that each of the roads and lengths of road specified in the Schedule shall not be a restricted road notwithstanding that a system of street lighting furnished by means of lamps placed not more than 185 metres apart is provided on those roads.
