The CFD was established in 1984 to consolidate the numerous charitable fundraising campaigns being conducted at state work sites. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, millions of dollars are donated each year to thousands of charities throughout our community. We provide a service to donors to create a fun, easy, and enjoyable giving experience. Payroll Contribution • Choose to give $1 or more per paycheck as a monthly contribution, one-time donation or limited-time gift. • Manage your donation 24/7 through our encrypted and secure online portal or donate by a paper contribution form. • Over 17,000 employees use the CFD every year with the choice of more than 4,500 charities locally, nationally, and globally. Fundraising Events • More than a 1,000 public employees act as CFD volunteers across Washington state to conduct fundraisers for charities in their agencies. • Join in and donate with payoll, cash, a personal check, or one-time credit card contribution at these charitable events.
