MILAN AND CINQUE TERRE 1st day – MILANO – MONEGLIA ( CINQUE TERRE) Arrival at Milan. Journey to the center of Milan to a short sightseeing tour : Our first stop is the famous Cathedral of Milan, one of the few Gothic buildings in all of Italy . We continue through the Gallery Vittorio Emanuele (see photo) , called by the Milan of "Salon " , for one of the most famous opera houses in the world . The walk continues to built our " Castello Sforzesco " , in 1450 by the Prince Sforza of Milan, today the park is accessible to the public . In the afternoon drive towards Cinque Terre. Approximate driving time of 4 hours Kuzer stop at the Charterhouse of Pavia. The Charterhouse also " gra Car" or Gratiarum Cartusia known, is one of the most characteristic monuments of Lombard art and houses a small Zisterzensergemeinschaft . It was built mostly in the 15th and 16 Century . by several architects. Dinner and overnight in Deiva Marina or the Moneglia . 2nd day – CINQUE TERRE Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Cinque Terre by train and ship. The best of the Italian Riviera is probably the " Cinque Terre " ( Five Lands area ), a 12-kilometer long sheltered rocky coastline with wonderful places Monterosso , Vernazza , Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. In deep, narrow ravines , the five villages are adventurous with nested colorful houses under lush terraced vineyards . By car , this region can not be achieved , which is of course an advantage for the preservation of this scenic coastline . You take the train from place to place and finally back to the ship back . Dinner and overnight in Deiva Marina or the Moneglia . Journey across the Tuscan countryside in Emilia Romagna . Visit to Carrara, where in the Apuan Alps for over 2000 years, the most beautiful marble is mined . Visit a quarry with explanations for the production and processing of this rock . Continue to Bologna ( approximate driving time of 4 hours) , once Italy's most important university, rich and vibrant city today . A walk through the beautiful old town leads us to the huge Gothic church of San Petronio and Piazza Maggiore , Santo Stefano and San Domenico , grave church of St. Dominic , the Palazzo della Mercanzia , and in the 12th Century . erected towers . Way to a dinner in a typical restaurant in Bologna with tasting of the famous tortellini. Overnight stay in Bologna. 4th day – BOLOGNA - MILAN Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the morning towards Maranello, where the " Galleria Ferrari " is . This collection of the rarest and most valuable Ferraris also includes many Formula 1 race cars (including the cars of Niki Lauda, Gerhard Berger and Michael Schumacher ) . Continue to Parma and opportunity to lunch in a typical restaurant with tasting of Parma ham and local wine Lambrusco . Parma is a former city-state that has been paid by the Vatican of the Farnese family. Tour of the Palazzo della Pilota , which also houses the Teatro Farnese , inspired by the famous architect Palladio. Not to be missed are also the Cathedral and Baptistery .
