Jumped well when making a winning hurdles debut at Cork (2m) and rates an exciting prospect. (Forecast 2.62) 2 11107-1 CLONBANAN LAD 32 D 6 11 - 10 A E Lynch - b g Rudimentary - Flute Orchestra H De Bromhead Jockey Colours: Dark blue, dark blue & orange hooped sleeves, orange cap, dark blue star Notes: Timeform says: Smart bumper form in 2011/12 (excuses when behind Champagne Fever final 2 starts of that campaign) and looked useful prospect when making winning debut in this sphere at Punchestown (2m) in October. (Forecast 13.00) 3 118-11 JEZKI 22 D 4 11 - 7 B J Geraghty 147 b g Milan - La Noire Mrs J Harrington Jockey Colours: Orange, black star , black & orange hooped sleeves, orange cap, black star Notes: Timeform says: Useful form in bumpers and has taken to hurdles like a duck to water, landing 2m Naas maiden and a Grade 3 over that C&D in October/November. Faces stiffer test here, but looks the one to beat. (Forecast 3.50) 4 20- MIDNIGHT OIL (GB) 281 4 11 - 7 D N Russell - b g Motivator - One So Marvellous W P Mullins Jockey Colours: Maroon, white star & armlet, maroon cap, white star Notes: Timeform says: Shaped well when runner-up on hurdling bow at Naas (2m) in February, but looked amiss in a Grade 2 here later that month. Jockey bookings suggest he is the least fancied of Willie Mullins' trio. (Forecast 51.00) 5 2-1 MINSK 15 D 4 11 - 7 B J Cooper - b g Dalakhani - Penza D T Hughes Jockey Colours: Yellow, dark blue sash, dark blue cap, yellow star Notes: Timeform says: Smart Flat performer who was runner-up in C&D Grade 2 on hurdling bow last term. Looked the part when landing a 2½m Punchestown maiden on return last month (fit from the Flat) and merits respect. (Forecast 5.50) 6 312221 ZUZKA 49 D 5 11 - 3 P Townend 130 b m Flemensfirth - Downtown Train W P Mullins Jockey Colours: Royal blue, light blue star, white sleeves, royal blue stars, white cap, royal blue star Notes: Timeform says: Winner of both starts in bumpers and improved when landing a Grade 3 in this sphere at Limerick (21f) latest, beating Dara Tango 11 lengths. However, Ruby Walsh prefers Champagne Fever. (Forecast 12.00) TIMEFORM VIEW: This is by far the most exciting novice hurdle of the season to date. Willie Mullins, successful in 3 of the last 4 renewals, fields a trio of runners, headed by Champagne Fever who has the potential to go right to the top of the tree in this sphere. However, preference is for Jezki who looked a horse going places when scoring at Naas last month. Minsk is also worth considering.
