Thompson, Stauber Named Walter Brown Award Semifinalists - The Gridiron Club of Greater Boston announced that Providence College forward Tyce Thompson and goaltender Jaxson Stauber were name semifinalists for the 69th Walter Brown Award - given to the best American-born college hockey player in New England. - Thompson leads the Friars with nine goals and 12 assists in 22 games this season, while Stauber was recently named a Mike Richter Award finalist for his 10-5-5 record, 2.07 GAA and .917 save percentage this season. A trio of juniors lead the way in scoring for UConn this season - Jonny Evans (13-11-24), Jachym Kondelik (0-17-17), Carter Turnbull (9-4-13) and Marc Gatcomb (6-5- 11) top the leaderboard. In goal, Tomas Vomacka has logged all minutes for the Huskies in posting a 2.69 GAA and .911 save percentage in 21 starts. Series History vs. UConn (PC leads 12-3-3, .750) Friday will mark the third meeting of the season between the two teams, with the home teams scoring shutout victories each time.
