She was born in 1810 in Ireland. Notes for Lydia Morton: Tecumseh Herald, June 12, 1879, page 3: Stevenson - at the family residence in Clinton Township, on Saturday, May 30 1879, Lydia widow of Wm. Stevenson, in the 71st year of her age. Mrs. Stevenson was born in Dungall, Antrim County, Ireland, and in 1866 removed to this community with her husband, where they have lived together until twelve weeks before her death, when her beloved and faithful partner fell asleep in Jesus. Her ten children, four sons and six daughters, survive her, and unto most of them was it given to surround their mother in her last hours; ministering unto her and receiving her dying benedictions. Her faith in Jesus Christ was constant in life and triumphed in death. Holy scripture was peculiarly precious in her eyes as being God's word and will to her, delighting to make it the rule of her life, it became "sweeter than honey, of the droppings from the honey-comb" to her soul. Mrs. Stevenson was faithful wife and mother enjoying the respect and confidence of the community. Peace to her memory.Tecumseh Herald, June 12, 1879, page 3: _____________ Who is this? could be a nephew of Lydia but not her brother Peter's son: Source - Lenawee County Marriage Record, Vol C pg 116 Record No. 303, Date of License Aug 17, 1871 Morton, Peter, age 25, residence Raisin, b.
