Said schools are all Metro Nashville, Davidson County, publicly-funded high schools classified as “Title 1” schools. This designation, granted by the United States Department of Education, is granted to schools in which the majority of their student population falls below the national poverty line. Many of the students who attend these schools have neither the financial resources nor the social capital to be able to attend college and successfully complete their coursework and ultimately, graduate. The Music City Classic aims to meet both of these needs by providing financial assistance in the form of need-based scholarships and the assistance of a nurturing mentor who will encourage and support each student as he/she navigates his/her first year of college. Each sponsor agreement is a commitment of $1,000 per school sponsored and more than one school can be sponsored. The scholarship will be in the name of your company. You may choose a school from the list below to be a named sponsor for or a school will be selected on your behalf.
