Resume Book Class of 2014 TABLE OF CONTENTS The following is a guide to the various STM degree programs, with a by-program listing of STM students whose resumes appear in this book in alphabetical order. Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry—The M.A.T.M. is a two-year degree (48 credits)that grounds individuals interested in ecclesial ministry in the areas of scripture and theology studies, pastoral theology, contextual education, and spiritual formation. TERUNGWA TOR Master of Social Work/Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry -The program (65 credits) reflects the University’s mission to educate individuals who are committed to the pursuit of social justice. A specific goal is to develop the skills and credentials necessary to plan, administer and/or provide social services within a local church or church-related agency. Students admitted to the program may expect to receive both the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (M.A.) and the Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degrees in approximately three years of full-time study. MARGARET COURTNEY ELIZABETH D’ONOFRIO COURTNEY NICHOLS PATRICK REYNOLDS-BERRY Master of Counseling Psychology/Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry – Graduates with a dual M.A./M.A have completed studies that combine theories and practice in counseling and psychology with studies in religion and exploration of the pastoral dimensions of caregiving. It combines the foundational studies and faculty resources of the existing M.A. in Pastoral Ministry with the M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the Lynch School of Education. Graduates can seek licensing as professional mental health counselors. Joseph O’Keefe, SJ. o During the semester, involved in researching various Jesuit institutions around the world and work with Fr. O’Keefe in compiling resources on Ignatian Spirituality in order to put on the center’s website. Also participate in focus groups and retreats with students, faculty, and staff throughout the semester. o Working at the center provides the opportunity to further knowledge of Ignatian Spirituality and to help understand it in more detail. Goal is to take this knowledge into future career and help people grow deeper in and learn about Ignatian Spirituality. Seminarian for the Congregation of Holy Cross o 2007-2011: Was a seminarian for the religious order, the Congregation of Holy Cross, for over four years. This was in addition to studies while at Notre Dame. During this time, was involved in various retreats, formation meetings, spiritual direction, common prayer, and daily Mass. Not only was learning theology inside the classroom, but was also living it outside the classroom, as well. Also have experience working in Campus Ministry settings with both high school and university level students. Have participated in a number of retreats throughout high school and university studies. One passion is leading retreats and helping students to grow in their faith and to take a more active approach in their spiritual and religious lives. Relevant Interests: One area of interest involves the mission and identity of institutions of higher education, particularly Catholic institutions. Have taken two courses, Religion and Higher Education and Catholic Higher Education, which discuss the mission and roles of religion in higher education.
