We are chairman of a committee in the Kiwanis Cl ub wh ich now has the resp onsibility of p utting in p lace t h e g ranite marker with the bronze tablet embedded at Plenty Joups' g rave . We would like to h a ve this done sometime · in late May or early June . No detai ls h ave been worked out to date . Roy Greene , an artist in our Kiwanis Club , has prepared a model . The Ana­ cond a Copper Mining Company has prepared t he bronze p laque and it is now in our possession. It is a beautiful thing . 1Ve have a c omm ittee in our Ki wenis Cl ub who will locate the big granite b o ulder w_ich will b e p laced near t he g rave . Ne under­ stand there · are t iV O oth er g raves located near the grave of Plenty Coups . 'Je woul d like to kno ~ t h e nantes of the persons in t h ese graves and t heir relationship to Plenty Coups . We p lan to clean off a small area around t hese graves and put in p l a ce a good iron fence . ~ ~ wo ul d like to get your i dea of the size of t he p lot which should be f enced. Me have a nursery company located in Portland, Oregon, which is willing to g ive us some hearty everg reen Ju nipers to p lant insid e the i r on fence . ,'_ e have also been thinki ng about putting in p l ace a flag pole so that a United States flag could be kept floating in the day time from this pole . The flag pole wou l d be metallic . We would to maRe the d edication of t his marker a big event . We t h ink that t here are a number of national characters who wo u ld be interested in taking part in the ceremonies o f dedication. We are at a lo s s to know to whom to tV rite in order to start the whe e l s in motion in reg ard to this matter .
