SOS2 L8 School of the Supernatural Session 2 The 2nd Realm of the Supernatural – The Glory Lesson 9 Key Concepts 1. Introduction 2. How has God revealed Himself on the earth? 3. How the manifest of God’s Glory Operates. 4. The difference between the Anointing and the Glory. 5. The Transition from the Anointing to the Glory. I. Introduction A. The purpose of this teaching has a 3-Fold process 1. How God’s glory operates and how can it manifest on the earth through revealed knowledge. 2. How to transition from the anointing to the glory. 3. How to awaken this generation to the benefits of moving into, and permanently remaining in within God’s presence. B. What is the Glory of God? 1. Hebrew: “Kabowd”. It means weight, splendor, abundance honor. It is used it eh Old Testament to describe wealthy men of Great reputation but also used to refer to God. 2. Greek: “doxa”. This word leads to the notion of reputation, honor, fame, praise, dignity, splendor and brilliance. Speaks of the real majesty belongs to God as the Supreme Governor. C. God’s glory is reflected in His creation in a multitude of ways. 1. 1 Corinthians 15:40 (NKJV) 2. One heavenly, one earthly and each one is showing the glory of God. 3. Genesis 2:7 (NKJV) 4. In the beginning, God created man in His image and SOS2 L8 likeness shaping him from dust of the earth and breathing into him the breath of life. (Contained God’s Glory) D. Human beings dwelled in the atmosphere of God’s glory and in that realm of glory, the mind of man functioned at 100 percent, because the mind of the Spirt was in him to exercise dominion over creation. E. Adam and Eve lost the Glory of God by disobeying Him bringing sin and death into the world. 1. Romans 5:12 (NKJV) 2. When God went looking for Adam and Eve in the garden and talked with them, He explained the deep consequences of their disobedience, cursed the earth and withdrew His presence from them (Genesis 3:8-24 NKJV) F. The World’s Glory: 1. 1 John 2:16 (NKJV) 2. When Adam and Eve sinned, there was a disconnect from the original source and humanity lost a major source of knowledge and brain function. Our full redemption in Christ includes the recovery of our mental capacity. G. When Jesus Christ came, He gave His life as a ransom for many, He re-established that ability for us to live in God’s glory, breath in God’s glory and to experience God’s glory every day in everything we do. 1. Mark 10:45 (NKJV) 2. Jesus came to serve and to give HIS LIFE as a RANSOM for many! H. The revelation of God’s glory, which He desires to give to each one of us, is that everything is complete in His presence. 1. Amos 9:13 (NKJV) 2. The key word in this verse is “overtake”. God promises to loosen the house, the job, or anything else we need, as long as we believe and act as the Holy Spirit directs, we will SOS2 L8 receive it. II. How has God revealed Himself on the earth? A. God appeared to Abraham. 1. Acts 7:2 (NKJV) 2. The physical manifestation of God’s glory transformed Abraham forever, changing his life, motives, priorities, and intentions and prompting him to seek the Promised Land. B. God manifested His glory to the Israelite nation. 1. Exodus 13:21 (NKJV) 2. God manifested His glory to the Israelites in the form of a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. C. God revealed His glory through Christ. 1. John 1:14 (NKJV) 2. The New Testament tells us that Jesus came to reveal the fullness of the Father’s Glory. 3. Hebrews 2:9-10 (NKJV) 4. Everything the Father is; His virtues, attributes, character, nature, power, authority and grace, was manifested in His son Jesus, and Jesus promised to manifest himself to those who obey His word. (John 14:21-23) D. Entering into the knowledge of God’s glory. 1. Isaiah 6:3 (NASB95) 2. Scripture affirms that the earth is filled with God’s glory, but the channel that grants us access to the manifestation of His glory in the natural realm is revealed knowledge, or revelation by the Holy Spirit. 3. Ever since the fall of humanity, humanity has had a difficult time seeing and working with God’s Glory. But if God’s glory exists on the earth and has the power to create, then God can form a new heart, lung, ears, eyes, arms, or any other organ someone may be missing. This type of creative miracle happens only when God moves His Holy Spirit and then acts SOS2 L8 on His word. 4. Gods glory cannot be understood without knowledge! (a). Habakkuk 2:14 (NKJV) (b). We have to understand the knowledge of God so we can experience the Glory of God! 5. In the Greek, the two words for “knowledge” are gnosis and ipignosis. The former indicates scientific or theoretical knowledge, and the latter refers to observable, practical knowledge. There is a place for both types of knowledge, but revealed knowledge comes to our spirits by the Holy Spirit when we have a close, intimate relationship with God. 6. Ephesians 1:17 (NKJV) 7. God’s glory must be revealed by the Holy Spirit, it cannot be discovered by research or understood by reason. (1 Corinthians 2:13-15) 8. It must be experienced and cannot be reduced to a formula because the glory can be initiated only by God and for God. There are no rules that we can follow in order to activate and flow in His glory. We will see the former glory (Old Testament miracles) and the latter glory (represented by the miracles Jesus predicted would occur in the church) manifesting together. 9. Manifestations of His glory will take place only when the spiritual foundation is established and the necessary knowledge is revealed whether from the scriptures or from a fresh revelation from God. III. How the manifest of Glory operates. A. The will of God. 1. The original intent of God’s heart has always been to manifest His presence to His people. 2. John 14:23 (NKJV) SOS2 L8 B. God’s Sovereignty 1. God does what He wants, when He wants, and in the manner He wants. Many Christians have grown accustomed to denying the Holy Spirit the freedom to exercise His divine sovereignty in their personal lives and their churches. As a result, the services lack the supernatural manifestations. 2. Ecclesiastes 8:3 (NKJV) C. Our obedience to what God has already ordained. 1. There are times when God will not initiate the action because He wants us to do what He has already told us to do in His Word. 2. Example: 1 Samuel 13:6-14 IV. The difference between the Anointing and the Glory A. The anointing is for the earth and can operate only in our world. The glory testifies of the powers of the coming age because it is the atmosphere of Heaven. B. The anointing prepares us for the glory that is God’s presence. C. With the anointing, the believer takes the initiative through his or her gifts and faith. With the glory, God takes the initiative. D. With the anointing, faith places a demand on the mantle of an individual. With the glory, faith places a demand upon God’s presence. E. The anointing was given to heal the sick, cast out demons, and raise the dead, but the glory of God makes sickness, Satan’s power and death illegal. F. With the anointing, Jesus is the healer. With the glory, He is the Creator. G. We work in the anointings, we worship and rest in the glory. H. In the anointing, we experience God’s power leaving us; with the glory, the power comes directly from God. V. The Transition from the Anointing to the Glory. SOS2 L8 A. God is leading many believers on the path of transition from the anointing to the glory so that they can enter into the river of God’s shekinah (Exodus 13:20-22 – the pillar of cloud and fire to dwell with) B. Those who resist the transition will become stuck and will be unable to participate in this final move of God because of the demand that seeking and living in the glory will require of them. C. To progress from one level of anointing to another requires a strong set of spiritual exercise, including fasting, prayer, and the thorough study of God’s Word. D. We must decide to make this transition from the anointing to glory. If you have reached a level of faith in which nothing new is happening, you are a candidate to enter into the dimension of glory. 1. Psalm 63:1-2 (NKJV) 2. God’s desires for this generation have not been met. Cry out to God so that the revelation of His glory will descend on your life in this season. E. How does the Three Supernatural dimensions work together? 1. Faith is the ability to the believer by God to enter into the spirit realm 2. Anointing is the ability given to the believer by God to do whatever He has called him to do; it is the life of Jesus working through His body, the church.
