This excursion is a follow up to our ‘habitat’ excursion and incorporates a science theme, complimenting the science focus of the unit. Activities included in the Science Discovery Program at Serendip involve a wildlife walk, engaging students with grassland/wetland habitats and enables students to get up close to native wildlife in Victoria’s Western Plains. A hands-on science activity of ponding will look at aquatic invertebrates and organisms, in an aquatic/wetland environment. We have been fortunate to receive an offer of this free excursion and only require the cost of the bus, in order for us to attend. The cost of the bus will be $10.00. Students are advised to wear their school uniform and bring clothing appropriate for the weather as in wet weather gear, hats, drink bottle, snack and lunch in a named paper bags, sturdy shoes, sunscreen and insect repellant if required. Please note your child must apply their own sunscreen/insect repellant. We look forward to good weather and a great excursion.
