Dear Dr. Kiel Neumann, I am Santosh Alluri, currently working as an early post-doctoral researcher under Dr. Kun-eek Kil at the Missouri University Research Reactor, MO, USA. My motivation for further research/experience in chemistry got something to do with my career and interdisciplinary knowledge. My graduate studies had given me proper theoretical gain in chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry. I have also acquired knowledge and skills of radiochemistry during practical exposures at various research facilities. I have completed my PhD under Dr. Patrick Riss at University of Oslo, Norway. The dissertation work was focused on development of PET-probes - specific to PARP, NMDA and System xc and link them in a complex cell-damage process. In addition, the work provided me scope in research related to brain disorders and cancer. The following overview of research expertise supplements my research interests. • Target-oriented multi-step organic synthesis¸ analytics (TLC, IR, NMR, MS, HPLC) • Familiar with design, development, quality control and validation of radiotracers and variety of radiolabeling techniques for PET-application • Experience in optimization and scale-up of radiosynthesis procedures • Skill in in vitro autoradiography, microscale thermophoresis • Ability to write scientific articles, detailed experimental protocols • Good in handling software and tools that could accelerate quality research • Independent/team player with good presentation skills CV_SantoshAlluri As a post-doctoral fellow at MU, I am engaged in different projects that involve development of various small and large molecule precursors for C-11 and F-18 radiolabeling. I am also responsible for development of 2 – 3 step radiosynthesis, purification, quality control methods towards novel PET tracers specific to CXCR3, Alpha-2C and PD-L1 systems. In addition, I am performing in vitro assays to supplement PET-imaging results. I wish to pursue my career in the field of translational molecular imaging and nuclear medicine where I can utilize and advance my existing knowledge and skills. I am interested in getting more exposed to tracer automation, translation, animal handling and PET-technique. My experience at different universities taught me to coordinate my efforts with other motivated individuals. I am certain that these experiences, abilities would serve me well in your group and projects and I hope I can cope up with new methodologies, techniques quickly. I would be happy to provide if any additional information is needed and be pleased if my profile is considered for the position. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Santosh Alluri [email protected] 919-869-9436 .
