Managing Director’s Message Dear Patrons, Greetings!! Coming out from a tough year 2020, year 2021 appears to be even tougher with the SARS-COV2 virus changing its nature. India and the World is facing the worst of times with COVID-19 at its peak of 2nd Wave. In these hard times, community support and our experience of 2020 is handy in dealing with the current scenario albeit with abundant caution. Vaccine manufacturers and the Government of India are running against time to ensure continuous production of COVID vaccine alongside looking for opportunities of enhancing the manufacturing capabilities across the country. IIL, on its part, is actively pursuing the vaccine manufacturing for COVID19 in two ways: 1) Augmentation of capacities for vaccines already developed by existing manufacturers e.g., Bharat Biotech, 2) Technical Collaboration with Griffith University, Australia for IIL’s own vaccine; We are optimistic that IIL, India and the World will be back to normal by end of 2021.
