Walking tour with guide, visiting the old part of the city founded in 1680 by Portuguese, starting with the Gate, visiting the Street of Sighs, Plaza Mayor, the Ruins of the Convent of San Francisco, lighthouse, Governor's House and Basilica of the Holy Sacrament. After breakfast, a cultural-historical city tour around the city by bus, Montevideo, capital of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay was founded in 1726 by Bruno Mauricio de Zabala. Its Squares, avenues and beaches, plus its architecture, history and iconic landmarks, make it an interesting city to explore. Visit Independence Square, Old Town, have a view of the bay and the Communications Tower, Legislative Palace, Parque Batlle with its monument to La Carreta and Centenario Stadium, and tour the beautiful long promenade of the city almost entirely, with a stop at the Panoramic Virgilios Square. Leaving the hotel will start the tour with the landscape of the coastal path through this exclusive resort, after passing through residential areas Cantegril, San Rafael Park Golf and La Barra de Maldonado, the latter famous for its rolling bridges unique character. Also visit the city center and tour the peninsula, stronghold of the old Punta del Este. The stroll will take you now to one of the natural wonders of Punta del Este, the beaches; and make a photo stop at Punta Ballena and enjoy breathtaking views of the coast, from where you can appreciate Casapueblo, the former home and studio of internationally renowned Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró.
