AMC Partners with Cinnabon for 'Better Call Saul' Premiere

AMC Partners with Cinnabon for 'Better Call Saul' Premiere 02.09.2015 Before he "fought for YOU, Albuquerque!" as the over-the-top criminal defense attorney from Breaking Bad, Saul Goodman apparently worked… at a Cinnabon. In the opening scene of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad prequel that premiered last week on AMC, Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) is seen working at a Cinnabon, that eatery whose sticky buns have perfumed the corridors of the modern American shopping mall. To celebrate the pairing ahead of Monday's second episode, AMC has partnered with Cinnabon to host a free "Minibon" giveaway at participating U.S. locations from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Any customer who heads to a Cinnabon during those hours will get a free "Minibon" treat. The idea: snag a Minibon then head home to watch the latest episode. AMC has provided in-store promo materials for the series, which Cinnabon will feature through March 3. Both companies will also promote a Twitter sweepstakes that could see one lucky fan walk away with free Cinnabons for a year. Through March 3, Cinnabon visitors who tweet a selfie with the hashtag #SaulSelfie are entered for a chance to win the grand prize. Goodman name-checked Cinnabon in one of the final episodes of Breaking Bad as he pondered a new life and new identity away from the meth trade in New Mexico's biggest city. "If I'm lucky, in a month from now, best-case scenario, I'm managing a Cinnabon in Omaha," Goodman said in the episode "Granite State.".
