PREVIEW MEN'S TEAM NORMAL HILL/4X5KM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS – Sunday 28 FeB 2021 Norway • Norway has won the team normal hill/4x5km event a record three times at the Nordic skiing world championships, including in 2019. • In 2019, Jarl Magnus Riiber, Jørgen Graabak, Jan Schmid and Espen Bjørnstad won the world title for Norway. • Five athletes have won this event two times at the Nordic skiing world championships: Bjarte Engen Vik (NOR), Eric Frenzel, Johannes Rydzek, Fabian Rießle (all GER) and Felix Gottwald (AUT). • This specific event has been held at the Nordic skiing world championships since 1995 and Norway won a medal in nine of the 10 world championships (G3-S5-B1), with the exception of 2003 (4th). Germany • Germany can equal Norway on a record three world titles in this specific event since it was held for the first time at the Nordic skiing world championships in 1995. • Only Norway (9) and Austria (6) have won more medals in this event since 1995 than Germany (G2-S3-B0). • Eric Frenzel, Johannes Rydzek and Fabian Rießle could become the first Nordic combined skiers to win three team world titles. • Frenzel, Rydzek and Norway's Jørgen Graabak are three of eight athletes to have won a record four medals in this event.
