Suresh has filed a complaint dated 31-12-2018 which was received by this Commission on 18-01-2019 for not getting the information sought by him from the Public Information Officer/ The Hostel Welfare Officer, Govt. Tribal Welfare Girls Hostel, Khammam District. The brief facts of the case as per the Complaint and other records received along with it are that the complainant herein filed an application dated 20-11-2018 before the Public Information Officer requesting to furnish the information under Sec.6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005 on the following points mentioned: StatingTSIC that the complainant did not get any response from the Public Information Officer, he preferred this complaint before the Commission requesting to arrange to furnish the information sought by him u/s 18(1) of the RTI Act, 2005. Basing on the material papers available on record, the complaint is taken on file and notices were sent to the parties concerned directing them to appear before this Commission for hearing on 21-01-2020 at Hyderabad. The case is called on 21.01.2020. The complainant is absent. The Public Information Officer/ The Hostel Welfare Officer, Govt. Tribal Welfare Girls Hostel, Vidya Nagar, Khammam Road, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda District is absent. On perusal of the material papers available in the case file, it is noticed that 6(1) application was filed by the complainant on 20-11-2018, and there is no record of any information furnish by the Public Information Officer/ The Hostel Welfare Officer, Govt. Tribal Welfare Girls Hostel, Vidya Nagar, Khammam Road, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda District. Thus, the action of the Public Information Officer is not in accordance with RTI Act. Hence, the Public Information Officer is hereby warned not to repeat such lapses in future in attending the applications filed under RTI Act, failing which, action will be initiated under section 20 of RTI Act.
