Welcome to Lancaster and to PACAC’s 51st annual conference. We are very excited to be in a new venue and the Conference Planning Committee, under Dave Antoniewicz’s very capable direction, has worked hard all year preparing for this year’s event. During your time here, please take advantage of all that Conference has to offer: thought provoking educational ses- sions, an exhibit hall full of men and women ready to answer questions and offer solutions to your enrollment challenges, a chance to network with friends and colleagues, and of course the legendary social events. A packed schedule for sure but always time well spent. For those of you who may be new to the PACAC conference, please do not be shy to jump in and get involved. Volunteer organizations like PACAC are only as strong as each member. Please plan to attend the Standing Committees Fair to discover how you can be- come a more active part of our association. Also, please do take time to visit the exhibit hall during the conference. The companies and organizations that join us make our conference possible, and affordable. Many of the exhibitors come year after year to support PACAC and I ask you all to take some time and support them as well. Even if you aren’t the final decision maker in your office, feel free to take information back to those folks who do make the decisions. I encourage you to take full advantage of all the conference has to offer from the opening speaker on Sunday afternoon to the closing luncheon on Tuesday when our newly elected officers will be sworn in. It is my hope that you find it to be a positive experience and that you learn something new, make a new friend and get a chance to catch up with old friends and colleagues. I would be remiss if I didn’t take a moment to thank the Conference Planning Committee for all their hard work. The amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to make Conference possible defies de- scription. They have been working hard all year to make this event possible. So, my thanks to Dave and the entire CPC for all that you have done. We are grateful for your efforts and look forward to the fruits of your labor. Enjoy Lancaster and the Conference! All my best, Kevin McIntyre PACAC President 2 www.pacac.org Welcome, PACAC CPC Chair Letter PACAC Friends, It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 51st Annual PACAC Con- ference! We are excited to bring the conference back to Lancaster, but this time to a new venue for PACAC. The Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square will provide an exciting backdrop to a great number of pro- fessional development and networking opportunities. This booklet contains your roadmap to the many options PACAC provides to help you strengthen your professional skill sets. It is filled with helpful information regarding our schedule of events, educational and ex- hibitor sessions, networking, and socializing opportunities. I invite you to join me on Sunday afternoon to hear from our Kickoff Speaker, Mr. Bill Conley VP for Enrollment Management at Bucknell University. Bill will help set the tone of the conference with his opening remarks which will focus on our theme of Empowering Decisions; Unlocking the Future. It is my hope that you will take advantage of our sessions on Monday and Tuesday to learn how you can better equip college bound students with keys that they need to understand how to move through doors to successfully gain college access. Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Nicole Hurd Founder and CEO of The National Advising Corps, will expand upon that theme with her remarks. Monday night will allow us to celebrate all the hard work and achieve- ments of PACAC members and partners with our Gustafson Gala and Awards dinner. Don’t forget to visit Exhibit Hall throughout conference, where businesses and companies from around the country will display their products and discuss their services. Without the support of our exhibitors, the annual conference would not be possible, so be sure to thank them for their generosity. I want to add my personal thanks to all of our exhibitors who have made sponsorships for various events throughout the conference. As Chair of the Conference Planning Committee, I would like to thank all of you for attending the Annual Conference. I would also like to extend my gratitude to all of the CPC members who have dedicated their time over the last year to develop and organize all of the great sessions and events that make our conference so productive and memorable. Thank you to all those who have volun- teered with CPC this year! Welcome to conference! I hope you’ll take advantage of all that we have to offer.
