You will remember that we started the year in the expectation that we would not be able to pay £3,200 (15%) of our Par- ish Share. I always believed we would somehow meet our obligations, but I had no idea how we could make up the shortfall. I constantly reminded the Church of the need for extra funding, and by October the expected shortfall had reduced to a fantastic £1,000, but we could still see no way to make up all the shortfall. At Kevin’s first PCC he said that we should stop worrying about the financial problem, and instead, pray and trust that God would enable us to pay our way! Little did I appreciate at the time how truly bounteous God is, and how generous His people would be, as we have all worked and given in response to His prompting. At 31 December, the headline figure in the accounts is that we have not only met all our obligations, but have exceeded this by over £1,000. God is good. Praise and thank Him!
