NEW HAMPSHIRE SUPREME COURT ORAL ARGUMENTS JANUARY 27, 2021 – REVISED 1/4/21 – The cases listed are scheduled for oral argument on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Attorneys and parties are further advised of the following: 1. Oral arguments will be conducted via Webex video conferencing in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. At least seven days prior to the argument date, persons presenting oral argument will receive an electronic invitation to participate in the video conferencing session for your case. Please note the starting time for your case. 2. Persons who are not presenting oral argument will not receive an electronic invitation to participate in the video conferencing session, but they may watch and listen to a live stream of the oral argument via the Supreme Court webcast. 3. The amount of time allotted to each party for oral argument is shown. The court intends to limit parties to the allotted time. If a party intends to divide the allotted time or reserve a portion for rebuttal, the party should notify the courtroom monitor before the session. A maximum of two minutes may be reserved for rebuttal. 4. The justices will refrain from asking questions during the first three minutes of each person’s argument; this period of non-questioning may be waived. Persons presenting oral argument should assume that the court is familiar with the facts. 5. The moving party is responsible for presenting and transmitting the portions of the record necessary to decide the questions of law presented by the case. See Rules 13 and 14. N O T I C E (in the event of in-person oral argument) PURSUANT TO SUPREME COURT ORDER DATED JULY 24, 2020, INDIVIDUALS ENTERING STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE COURTHOUSES MUST WEAR FACE COVERS THAT COVER THE MOUTH AND NOSE. PERSONS PRESENTING ORAL ARGUMENT AND JUSTICES ARE PERMITTED TO REMOVE FACE COVERS DURING ARGUMENT ONLY IF NECESSARY TO BE HEARD, AS DETERMINED BY THE COURT. IT IS A CLASS B FELONY TO CARRY A FIREARM OR OTHER DEADLY WEAPON AS DEFINED IN RSA 625:11, V IN A COURTROOM OR AREA USED BY A COURT.
