While at LIU, she women’s tennis coach . She is just the third head coach in played four years of Division I varsity tennis, primarily at the 38-year history of the RIT women’s tennis program, first doubles and third singles . Bachner was a three-year following Hall of Famer Ann Nealon and former All- captain for the Blackbirds and was named the team’s Most Empire 8 performer Frank Solome . She also coaches the Improved Player in 2003 and 2004 . She earned All-North- men’s tennis team . east Conference second team honors in both singles and In 2010, Bachner led the women’s squad to a 9-4 mark doubles three times . and had the Tigers in contention for the Empire 8 regular In the classroom, Bachner excelled as well, earning season title until the final day of the year . Assistant Coach Diana Toia 2012 Season Preview The RIT women’s tennis team is poised to make a big impact in 2012, Sara Bjork returns after picking up four dual wins a season ago, all after finishing last season with an impressive 9-4 record . at third singles .
