Epicenter of USC’s 226 acre campus featuring both our unofficial (Tommy) and official (Traveler) mascots 7. Doheny Memorial Library a. Doheny Library is the largest of USC’s 32 libraries with over five million titles b. Doheny Library is nine stories tall including five underground and is the sight of both USC Orientation and Commencement – student’s first and last day at USC. c. Notable commencement speakers have included comedian Will Ferrell + astronaut Neil Armstrong (First man to walk on the moon) d. USC Center for Religion and Civic Culture a. One of the over 60 religious’ congregations on or around USC’s campus 12. University Village a. $700 million-dollar development project that opened in 2017 and features both retail and dining space. b. The University Village houses over 2,500 students including our freshman football student-athletes. c. Popular village stops include Trader Joes, Target, and Starbucks among other food and clothing options 13. Glorya Kaufman School of Dance a. 54,000 square foot dance center that officially opened in 2015 and had its first graduating class 2019. 14. USC School of Cinematic Arts a. #1 Film school in the world with notable alumni such as George Lucas, Shonda Rimes, and Paula Patton. b. Areas of study include film production, screenwriting, and video game design.
