LOS ANGELES ANGELS NOTES • The Angels dropped to 1-2 against the Yankees this season, going 4-5 on their nine-game, 11-day road trip…fell to 8-7 on the road and 11-13 overall this year…have not been above .500 since beginning the 2013 season with a 1-0 record. • Seven of Los Angeles-AL’s 13 losses this year have come by one run, all coming in the midst of their last nine defeats. • Angels batters hit 1HR today (Freese, sixth inning) extending their club record of 37 team homers in March/April (previous: 34HR in April 2000). • RHP Garrett Richards started and recorded a no-decision, allowing 2ER on 3H in 7.0IP (2BB, 7K, 1HR, 1HP)…remained undefeated in four road starts this season, going 2-0 with a 1.44 ERA (25.0IP, 4ER) overall…is now 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA (20.0IP, 10ER) in three career starts vs. the Yankees. • CF Mike Trout (2-for-4) improved his career batting average vs. the Yankees to .380 (27-for-71) with 3HR, 13RBI and 14R in 18 games, hitting safely in 16 of those contests. • RHP Kevin Jepsen retired his lone batter faced in the eighth inning (Soriano)…has now recorded 10 consecutive scoreless outings (8.0IP) since allowing a career-high 5ER on Opening Night vs. Seattle. • DH Albert Pujols (0-for-3) had his four-game multi-hit streak snapped.
