NEW SOUTH RADIO, INC EEO PUBLIC FILE REPORT For the following stations: WIIN-AM, WYOY-FM, WJKK-FM, WUSJ-FM, W226BS, WSFZ-AM AND WJXN-FM February 1, 2016 – January 31, 2017 SCHEDULE D New South Radio, Inc. Outreach Initiatives: Internship: Victoria White, a student at Mississippi College, served as an intern at New South Radio, Inc. from January to May of 2016. Some of her duties included: writing copy for spots, getting approval from client for the written spot, and producing the spot. Recording client for spots on air on WYOY Morning Show. Producing barter spots. Worked with traffic department. Board operator for WYOY, WJKK, and WUSJ. Victoria is very creative, performed tasks with little instruction and performed tasks quicker than expected. Internship: Katherine Mangialardi, a Junior at Mississippi State University, who is majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations, served as an intern at New South Radio, Inc. from June 16, 2016 to July 29, 2016. She worked in all the following areas: Programming, Sales, Marketing and Office Administration. Katherine worked well with others, was dependable, showed initiative, was very organized, and stayed calm under pressure. Internship: Tylan Body, a student at Hinds Community College, served as an intern at New South Radio, Inc. during the Fall Semester. Some of his duties included: creating barter spots, working on vignettes for our partner Batson Hospital, and producing commercials for our terrestrial stations. Tylan is very creative, and completed all tasks without problems. Scholarship: Zachary Eli Mason, a student at Mississippi College, was awarded our annual $500 scholarship. He is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Communications. He is on the Dean’s list and an active member of Phi Theta Kappa. He is the video editor for Mississippi College’s MCTV. He also edited videos for his high school news. .
