Procurement of these parts are critical to maintain operational access and sustainment of the COBRA DANE radar residing on Shemya Island,AK. PE 1203909F BALLISTIC MSL EARLY WARNING SYSTEM (BMEWS) - P-40A PE 1203909F The Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) is a ground based radar system with missions to support the Missile Correlation, Space Surveillance, and Missile Defense Centers. The BMEWS radars provide United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) with credible Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) data on all Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) and Sea-Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBMs) penetrating the coverage area including Launch and predicted impact (L&PI) data for attack assessment and response determination. BMEWS also supports the Space Situational Awareness (SSA) network providing near-earth satellite surveillance and tracking, reporting observational (metric), SOI on man-made satellites and maintenance of the space catalog as required by the Joint Space Operations Center, Alternate Space Operations Center, and the National Air and Space Intelligence Center mitigating the significantly increasing potential for collisions with national assets, including manned space platforms. The BMEWS shares a common baseline and mission with the PAVE Phased Array Warning System (PAVE PAWS) while deploying more array elements on its faces. The Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) sites at Thule and Fylingdales also have a Missile Defense (MD) mission supporting the Missile Defense Agency. These radars are located at Thule Air Base, Greenland; Clear Air Force Station, AK; and Royal Air Force (RAF) Fylingdales, UK. Additionally there is a site for testing (System Program Agency) located in the Centralized Integration Support Facility (CISF) at Peterson AFB, CO. PE 1203912F SLBM RADAR WARNING SYSTEM - P-40A PE 1203912F The PAVE PHASED ARRAY WARNING SYSTEM (PAVE PAWS) is a ground based radar system with missions to support the Missile Correlation, Space Surveillance, and Missile Defense Centers. The PAVE PAWS radars provide United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) with credible Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) data on all Sea-Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBMs) and Inter- Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) penetrating the coverage area including Launch and predicted impact (L&PI) data for attack assessment and response determination. These radars are located at Beale AFB, CA and Cape Cod AFS, MA. Additionally there is a site for testing (System Program Agency) located in the Centralized Integration Support Facility (CISF) at Peterson AFB, CO. PE 0305114F - Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS). ATCALS procures and supports fixed-base and tactical radar, navigation aids, voice communications, and data processing/automation capabilities which enable Air Force (AF) air traffic controllers to provide advisory, sequencing, separation, and landing guidance services to all aircraft in AF-assigned airspace. In support of Global Mobility, Agile Combat Support, Global Strike, Homeland Security, and Global Response concepts of operation, ATCALS centrally manages the Air Force's air traffic control capability to ensure air traffic control facilities/ equipment can safely and expeditiously support en route an terminal operations in benign and combat areas of responsibility. ATCALS modification efforts maintain system reliability and supportability of legacy until replaced by new technology or next generation of equipment. PE 0305137F - National Airspace System (NAS). NAS is a program which entered full rate production in 2005 and is now in the operations and support phase. NAS modernizes the Department of Defense (DoD) air traffic control (ATC) system in concert with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Modernization effort. The FAA is the overall NAS program lead and the Air Force is the DoD lead. Equipment procured includes ATC automation systems, surveillance radars, voice switches, voice recorders, and other ancillary equipment. As the program is now in the sustainment phase, main focus in on reliability and maintainability upgrades, ensuring compliance with the FAA maintained standard system configuration, and incorporation of low cost modifications as required.
