A search for the information you requested has now been completed within the Ministry of Defence, and I can confirm that some of the information in scope of your request is held, Information regarding your first and third requests is detailed in the table below. In relation to your fifth request I can advise that there can be up to 11 EOD operatives working in Scotland at any one point. In relation to your second and fourth requests, I can confirm that information in scope of your request is not held by the Department. Under the Act a Public Authority is not required to create new information to respond to requests. The MOD holds data that could be used to produce information to answer the request. However, to produce the information based on this data would require significant data manipulation including complex analysis and sophisticated judgement to the extent that it can be considered ‘new’ information which is not currently held. Under Section 16 Advice and Assistance, in regard to your second request you may find it helpful to note that the department does not hold information in regard to regions only in towns, which has been provided to you in the table below.
