APECS March 2011 Newsletter

SEQUOIA CLUB APECS March 2011 Newsletter APECS is all about building a network of enthusiastic polar researcher, and whether you study social dynamics of indigenous northern communities or track penguins in Antarctica, fieldwork motivates and excites a lot of us in the polar sciences! Which is why the newsletter this month is focusing on fieldwork and how APECS can help you get out into the field and get the most out of it. On the APECS website you can see information about APECS members who recently returned from a Students on Ice University Cruise to Antarctica, information about upcoming field schools, or contribute to and get information from our Field Sites Database. Of course, we all need funding to get out into the field - so if you're interested to contributing to the Funding Resources Working Group, it's a great way to get involved and learn some valuable information while building an important skill set. For more about APECS fieldwork - and all the regular polar news, events, jobs, and community that you always see in the APECS newsletter - keep on reading.
