The end of the year also means that it is time for our Annual General Meeting, which will take place at 6:30 pm on April 27, 2015. The entire community is welcome and encouraged to at- tend. The meeting will be relatively brief but is an opportunity to put faces to the names of those hard working souls men- tioned in this article. It also represents a chance for members of the community to learn about what is going on at the club, and most importantly provide your feedback as to how we are doing. There have been some topics that have been new and at times controversial over the past year. We rolled out the volunteer bond. While raising money is always a concern at RVCC, we do not believe achieving our operating funds should be entirely driven by increased fees. The volunteer bond was designed to generate volunteers. Volunteer to assist at the RVCC sale on June 6 and/or during the week prior, for a few hours of pricing, display, setting up or carrying boxes. No experience necessary. We also require assistance to box up the leftover goods and clean up at the end of the sale at 3 p.m. on June 6. 4. Visit your neighbourhood sales on June 6 for fabulous bargains not available at any shopping mall. Last year there were more than a dozen sales in Riverview on the sale day (and the RVCC made over $2,400). See for yourself why Winnipeg is known as “the garage sale capital of Canada!” Mark your calendar for Saturday June 6 and please plan to participate in this pan-community event. For more info, contact the Garage Sale Coordinators: Steve Lennon (204) 781-6549 and Kathy Larson (204) 452- 8509. Thank you.
