As a skipper in high school I was a fleet race and team race National Champion for Point Loma High School. While racing I-420s, my crew and I placed 2nd at the ISAF Youth Worlds in Busan, South Korea. In college I raced for the US Naval Academy and then finished school at St. Mary’s College of Maryland as a skipper on their Women’s, Co-Ed, and Team Race teams. I am a 4 time All-American and All-American Honorable Mention and in 2011 I was the runner up for College Sailor of the Year. Teddy Mark- Head Instructor I grew up racing Optimists in the Great South Bay in Long Island, and sailing in the Larchmont Yacht Club program. I raced on the LISOT 420 team for three years, and on Team USA for one. I was captain of the Rye Country Day School sailing team for two years. I am a sophomore at Georgetown University and sail on the varsity team. This is my third year at RYC and my first year as Head Instructor. Sara Anibal- Administrator I grew up sailing out of Rocky Point Club and competed at most JSA regattas throughout the years. I then participated on the Greenwich High School sailing team for three years where I was the varsity captain my senior year. I now attend the University of Vermont and am majoring in Elementary Education and Music. I am also an active member of the sailing team there and compete almost every weekend. I look forward to being a part of Riverside this summer! Hope Wilson I’m from Rye, New York, and have sailed out of American Yacht Club for nine summers. I competed in JSA events as well as New Englands, 420 Nationals, North Americans, and Buzzards Bay Regatta. I was also a member of the Big Boat Program at American, participating in the Dorade and Beach Point Overnight for four years, and racing on Friday evenings on a J105. Currently, I am a senior at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire. Next fall, I will be attending Dartmouth College and I will be on the sailing team there. I am looking forward to coaching at Riverside this summer! 5 Emma Brinkman I grew up sailing at American Yacht Club. I sailed Opti's for 5 years and crewed on 420's for 4 years. I was also a part of the Big Boat program at AYC where I sailed on a J105 and a J124. I have sailed all over Long Island sound at JSA regattas and at various other events including Buzzards Bay Regatta, Nationals, New Englands and North Americans. I am currently a senior at Rye High School in Rye, New York. I look forward to coaching and being a part of the junior program at Riverside this summer! Chris Klevan, Head Racing Optimist Coach I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia where I started sailing Optis. I am graduating with a double major in Environmental Studies and Geoscience from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Class of 2012. As a member of the Hobart and William Smith varsity sailing team I received ICSA All-American Crew honors at the conclusion of the 2011 season where our team finished 2nd in Cascade Locks Oregon for the ICSA National Championship. Laura Lubben I am currently a senior at Mamaroneck High school and I am looking to sail in college wherever that may be. I sailed optis and 420s out of Larchmont Yacht Club since I was 7 years old and am currently on the sailing team at my high school. I worked at American Yacht Club last year as an opti coach as well as an administrator but am really looking forward to coaching full time this summer! Will Florio This summer I will be returning to Riverside Yacht Club for my second year. Last summer, I had the privilege of coaching sailors from the Flying Fish, C420, and Big Boat programs. I also had the honor to sail on Thursdays during Vespers, where I ran the foredeck of Commodore Anderson's Farr 395, Skye. Since then, I have been studying at Hobart College, where I am a member of the sailing team. This summer I will be competing aboard Eleanora in the Westward Cup in Cowes, England. Lexi Coudert I am currently a freshman on the Georgetown University sailing team. I graduated from The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida in 2011. I grew up sailing Optimists, Lasers, and 420’s at the Edgartown Yacht Club in Martha’s Vineyard and at the Coral Reef Yacht Club in Miami, Florida. I sailed lasers most competitively at both the national and international levels. I have sailed extensively in the Southern Massachusetts and Florida areas and look forward to a new experience on the Long Island Sound this summer! 6 Morgan Kiss, Head 420 Racing Coach My name is Morgan Kiss and I grew up sailing optimists out of Macatawa Bay YC in Holland, MI. I competed for the US at Optimist Worlds in 2007, and transitioned into the 420 when I was 15. I was on the US Development team in the I-420 for three years, and got the opportunity to compete in two ISAF Youth Worlds, winning a silver medal in 2011 with crew Christina Lewis. I'm currently sailing in college for Yale, and am really looking forward to joining the RYC coaching staff this summer! Brooks Clark I am from Newport Beach, California where I grew up sailing Sabots at Newport Harbor Yacht Club. After sabots I crewed in both 420s and CFJs sailing many National and North American Championships. I sailed for Newport Harbor High School and won both Fleet Race and Team Race National Championships my senior year. I finished 2nd at the Governor's Cup Match Race as a bowman in 2009 and 2011.
