This album of radio sessions has repertoire ranging from classic blues Rock 21.99 1967 tunes by Willie Dixon and Buddy Guy through commercial pop, to Jimmy UNOFFICIAL RSD18 RELEASE Page’s slab of Psychedelia, Beck’s Bolero, and Tamla Motown hits from Norman Whitfield and Holland/Dozier/Holland. As a bonus, there are a couple of contemporary interviews with Jeff Beck and a version of Curtis Mayfield’s It’s Alright by Rod Stewart’s Steampacket. These two classic tracks from the elusive Mary Clark were Soul 1000 hand numbered 14.99 got your hold on me originally released on the P&P distributed La Shawn label in 1980. The original 45 is now extremely rare and HTF and now sells for c£200 if you can find one! 18. COATES, Oliver: John Luther Adams LP. A re-working of John Luther Adams’ Canticles of the sky. This version of “Someone Else’s Heart” was recorded in New Wave / 750 4400 9.99 heart feat. Questlove / Instrumental 2011 and marked the first time that Elvis and Questlove collaborated, igniting Pop version the spark that led to 2013’s Wise Up Ghost. Despite the Blue Flames having officially broken up in October ’66, the Jazz / Blues ? ? 21.99 jazz – live in Europe 1967 Offenbach band is in effect the Blue Flames, whereas at Lucerne, it is the UNOFFICIAL RSD18 RELEASE Georgie Fame Quartet on the bill. ‘The show with a quartet is very experimental,’ Fame explained, ‘with things like three part harmonies with voice, guitar and flute and new treatments of new tunes as well as some standards.’ 32. FIVE DAY WEEK STRAW PEOPLE: LP. Listed as one of Record Collector's ‘100 Greatest Psychedelic Records’ Psych ? ? 21.99 [same] (nestling immediately below the Moody Blues ‘In Search Of A Lost Chord’), this album deserves a place in any discerning record collection. It relates an imagined "typical weekend of the average nine-to-five worker" as they recounted in an interview at the time. The songs had been written by David Montague and Guy Mascolo, who had first met when they were hairdressers in Clapham in 1963. Guy had just co-founded a salon with his brother Toni, which since then has mushroomed into the hairdressing juggernaut that is ‘Toni and Guy’. 33. FLEET FOXES: Crack-up (choral 7” single Indie 1000 13.99 version) / In the morning 34. FUZZTONES: Braindrops Coloured LP + 7”. Originally issued in 1991 this was the band’s 3rd album 25.99 featuring covers of songs by Love and The Doors. 35. Hammers, grinders, fans, welders, and all sorts of other beasts reverberate in the vast caverns of this extraordinary acoustic space.
