It is a Otitle that this conference continues to earn. Each year the program is stronger, the attendance is higher, and the warm response from the library community is louder. It is a time for celebration as well as learning. For me, it is also a time where I can be guaran- teed to see the faces of friends I get to see only once a year. I encourage all of you to use your time well. Sleep next week. This week you can attend some of the superb sessions put together by Rose Vespa and her conference planning team. You can also visit friends. There have been many conferences where the best and most practical information I have learned has come from hearing, during informal chats in the exhibits area, what others are doing. Late last Spring I visited Seattle Public Library's new main library building. The most impressive aspect of this astonishing building is the statement that it makes. This huge, beautiful building clearly says that libraries have a future and that libraries will continue to be relevant to those they serve. OLA's Super Conference 2005 Super Conference Super Conference delivers that same mes- sage, year after year. It fills each of us with the knowledge and confidence that we are strong and will continue to get stronger. Enjoy yourself. We think that our 2005 confer- ence will be the most Super to date. For the 2004 OLA Board of Directors, Ken Roberts, President.
