Contractor Appointed (TAL) • The public realm for the Kinloch Road Regeneration project is being procured following agreement from A&BC • The footway construction works outside the Royal Hotel are now complete. • The detail design for the resurfacing of Kinloch Road has been issued and subject to final approval. The resurfacing of Kinloch Road will be funded by the Council’s road reconstruction programme and a joint tender document for all hard landscaping is being issued to the Council’s framework contractor, Breedon Aggregates. • The kerb levels and roads levels for Aqualibrium Avenue and the tie into the resurfacing works on Kinloch Road are complete and subject to final approval. The footway works detail design drawings issued to KRR Contractor (Breedon Aggregates) for pricing and installation programme. • Agreement in principle has been reached to complete the extension to the Esplanade Railings works. Bam Nuttal has been appointed to complete the installation works. Footway level information forwarded to URS to finalise foundation details. URS to confirm the design requirements. The footway works in this area are to be completed by the KRR Contractor (Breedon Aggregates). Works to be programmed in line with the Kinloch Road re surfacing works. • Bus Terminal Kassel Kerb requirements to be finalised following consultation with ABC and West Coast Motors. Bus Shelters to be relocated to a new hard standing area at the rear of footway. These works are to be included as part of the KRR hard landscaping works. CHORD budget contributions for the footway and Kassel Kerb works to be finalised. • Soft landscaping design approved by ABC. Contract documents to be finalised and issued for tender. Implementation of works estimated March/April 2012. Contract tender documents will be put to open tender through Argyll and Bute Council’s procurement team. Roads Depot Remediation - • Work complete and land handed over to ACHA for development. ACHA Funding - • Legal Agreements concluded. Land adjacent to the Council Depot - • No progress on this element in line with instructions at the Project Board in December 2010. However, remediation work is now complete and greater cost certainty can now be obtained. .
