He has sung many operatic roles at IU and elsewhere, including the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in SC, Bay View Music Festival in MI, and was a Resident Artist with Indianapolis Opera. A native of Ohio, Lentz received his Bachelor’s in Voice from the College of Wooster. He studies with Mezzo- Soprano Patricia Stiles. He also sings in a Barbershop Quartet. Lentz also composes and performs his own music. ELIZABETH HUTSON (MRS. LOVETT) is a freshman at Indiana University studying Theatre and Psychology. This is her first time performing in Bloomington, but her second time performing in Sweeney Todd. Some regional credits include Johanna in Sweeney Todd with Actors Theatre of Indiana as well as Young Eva in And Then They Came for Me with the Indiana Repertory Theater. Elizabeth is thrilled to be cast in her favorite musical and would like to thank Paul, Ben, Basie, Sarah, and the rest of the team and cast for creating such an enjoyable experience. Enjoy the show! BENNY WAYNE SULLY (ANTHONY HOPE) is beyond excited to be a part of another John Waldron Arts Center production. Benny is a junior at Indiana University pursuing a B.A. in Theatre and Drama with a Focus in Acting. Next year, he will be transferring to NYU-Tisch to pursue a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre with a Focus in Acting for Film. Recent production credits include Paul/Simon in The Internationalist and Michael Uslan in the latest installment of the Indiana University commercial series: Fulfilling the Promise. Benny would like to thank his sister, Chelsea and the Clarke family for helping him in various ways. He would also like to thank Paul Daily for trusting him with this part and (once again) helping Benny become a much better actor. www.facebook.com/BennySullyActor MADIE ALLENDER (JOHANNA) is a freshman at Indiana University studying Theatre and Drama. Her recent credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beat and Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, both for Sounds of South. Madie is so excited for her first show with Ivy Tech and cannot wait to share her love of this musical and the role of Johanna with you all. 2016 -17 SEASON BOWIE FOOTE (TOBIAS RAGG) is currently a junior double majoring in Theatre and Drama and Media at Indiana University. He is excited to make his debut at the John Waldron Arts Center for this production of Sweeney Todd with Ivy Tech. Most recently, he was seen performing in Equus as a part of the horse chorus, and in Marat/ Sade as Simonne Evrard. Bowie would like to thank his friends and family for their continued support and encouragement. GLEN HALL (JUDGE TURPIN), baritone, is currently pursuing a MM in Voice Performance at IU Jacobs School of Music studying with Wolfgang Brendel. His résumé spans roles, world premieres, recitals, and operatic scenes. His most recent roles include premiering in Swann’s Love with New Voices Opera and Guard 2 in Hagar with the National Opera Association. He earned his BM in Voice Performance from University of Indianapolis. Glen will appear as Mayor Shinn in IU Opera’s upcoming production of The Music Man. JACOB BARBER (THE BEADLE) studied Theatre and Game Design at Indiana University. For Bloomington Playwrights Project: Toast (Andy) For University Players: Rain Down the Ruin (Will McAllister), Legally Blonde: The Musical (Elle’s Father/ Pforzheimer). Other Credits include: Rabbit Hole (Jason), Sweeney Todd (Anthony), Anything Goes (Sailor Quartet), Our Town (George Gibbs), The Merchant of Venice (Bassanio). Following the completion of this run, Jacob will be moving back to his home state of Texas. IVY TECH STUDENT PRODUCTIONS GEORGIA BOONSHOFT (BEGGAR WOMAN) attended LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in NYC as a vocal major, and then received a BM in Vocal Performance from the Jacobs School of Music in 2013. She’s performed in BPP’s Vintage Scenes two years in a row and sang with New Voices Opera this past spring. She recently performed in an improv showcase with IndyProv and continues to study acting at the Indy Actors Studio. Additionally, she is involved in locally run TV and film productions. She would like to thank her voice teacher, Eileen Jennings, for fiercely trusting in her potential. RUSTY SHIELDS (ADOLFO PIRELLI) graduated from Arkansas State University and moved to Bloomington in 2009 to pursue his Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and Conducting at The Jacobs School of Music at IU. He has been blessed with many opportunities to perform operas, musicals, recitals and concerts, and continues to do so today. Thank you, especially to Bud Freeman and Vern Hageman, couldn’t have done it without you, and to my friends, family, and coworkers for their undying support. 2016 -17 SEASON CONNOR BLANKENSHIP (JONAS FOGG/FIGHT CAPTAIN) is a senior at IU studying Theatre, Education, and Martial Arts. For Ivy Tech: An Enemy of the People (Stockmann), Mr. Marmalade (Bradley). For IU Theatre: Macbeth (Captain/Murderer), Romeo and Juliet (Prince), Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Collins), King Lear (Ensemble), The Imaginary Invalid (Doctor #4). As a Director: True West, The Odd Couple. Connor is also an Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and has fight choreographed numerous productions. ANDY CALDERONE (COMPANY) is excited to be a part of the chorus of Sweeney Todd, his first show since moving to Bloomington. Previous roles include Don Kerr (A Chorus Line), Albert Peterson (Bye Bye Birdie), Skimbleshanks (CATS), Otto (Spring Awakening), Clifford Bradshaw (Cabaret), and Edward Lyons (Blood Brothers). He would like to thank his Mom, Sister, and friends for their support. BRANTLEY G. GOODRICH (COMPANY) is delighted to be a part of Sweeney Todd. Her previous onstage credits include: Oklahoma! (Little Theater of Bedford), She Kills Monsters (Bloomington Playwrights Project), Urinetown (Monroe County Civic Theatre), Vintage Scenes 2016 and 2014 (BPP) and more! Brantley is a freshman at IU and apart of Awkward Silence Comedy, which performs every Thursday, you can also see her and Benny Sully at the BPP Box Office. Brantley would like to thank the cast and crew for all their hard work on this production of Sweeney Todd! ALEXA LIVELY (COMPANY) is thrilled to be making her debut performance at the John Waldron Arts Center! She is a sophomore at Indiana University studying Theatre with minors in Voice and Dance. Past credits include Laker Girl (Spamalot), Morticia (Addams Family), Paulette (Legally Blonde), and Ensemble (Hairspray). She would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her and her dreams! IVY TECH STUDENT PRODUCTIONS MARILYN WHITE (COMPANY), 20, has been acting since she was 10 years old, making Sweeney Todd her nineteenth production. Along with acting, Marilyn’s passions include singing and playing guitar and ukulele, and her debut album is currently in the works. While she’s not sure what the future may hold, she sure hopes it will allow her to continue being on the stage doing what she loves. DAVID WADE (SCENIC DESIGNER/ SCENIC ARTIST) is in his third season at BPP where he designed, 30 Day Mourning Period, and will be designing Row After Row and Calling All Kates. Also this year he has designed Pippin for Sounds of South, and soon, Working for Theater South, Once Upon A Mattress for Bedford North Laurence and he will be staging and designing Seussical for Bloomfield High School. David is a busy man and all at the same time as he works on all of these great shows, he has designed several shows for Ivy Tech’s Theater here in the JWAC, Rose Firebay where you are now to enjoy Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street! LILY WALLS (COSTUME DESIGNER) is an Indiana University and Ivy Tech Alumna with a degree in Theatre with a concentration in Costume Design and Construction.
