July 2 @ Worcester 6:35 p.m. After the Downs homer tied the game, the RailRiders took the lead in the top of the fifth when Andrew Velazquez singled and stole second, third July 3 @ Worcester 4:05 p.m. and home in succession. He became the documented player in baseball to swipe second, third and home in the same inning since Jon Berti of the Miami Marlins on August 24, 2020. July 4 @ Worcester 6:35 p.m. July 6 Syracuse 7:05 p.m. Velazquez’s steal of home was part of a delayed double steal with Florial, who swiped second on the front end. The next batter, Ryan LaMarre, tripled July 7 Syracuse - Game 1 5:05 p.m. to right to score Florial to extend the RailRiders lead to 4-2. It tied a mark set by the SWB Yankees on June 6, 2008 against the Norfolk Tides. Andrew Velazquez accomplished the rare feat of stealing three bases in one inning, while Estevan Florial (2), Hoy Park and Ryan LaMarre (1 each) all stole bags against the Red July 15 Polar Park 6:35 p.m. Sox. Here is a look inside the numbers during Trey’s incredible run: • The streak began on August 26, 2019, when Amburgey went 1-for-3 with a HBP at the Pawtucket Red Sox. Aug. 18 Polar Park 6:35 p.m. • He has hit .353/.429/.632 during the now 36-game streak, with 29 R, 14 2B, 1 3B, 7 HR, 39 RBI, 15 BB, 37 K and 5 HBP. Aug. 19 Polar Park 6:35 p.m. • The streak has included 10 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI games. Aug. 20 Polar Park 6:35 p.m. • During the streak, Amburgey has only gone hitless three times (8/31/19 vs BUF, 6/15/21 vs SYR, 6/29 @ WOR). In those games he has reached base on a walk and was hit by three pitches. He also has two RBIs in those hitless contests. Outfielder Greg Allen is riding a season-long 21-game on-base streak into play on Saturday night, and infielderHoy Park has reached base safely in 24 consecutive games. Park sports a .508 OBP during his streak, which has propelled him to the Triple-A East lead in OBP all-time series: RailRiders Lead 188-170 (.493) and OPS (1.105), second in the league in AVG (.353), and third in SLG (.612).
