Road information can be found on RMS livetraffic website which has links to adjacent councils when roads are affected – search for home pages of Bogan Shire (Nyngan), Warren Shire, Narromine Shire , Parkes Shire , Bland Shire (West Wyalong) , Cobar Shire , Carathool Shire (Rankins Springs and Hillston areas) , Forbes Shire . Police are fining drivers on closed roads. Claims of no information about local roads on the live traffic website are incorrect. RMS only shows details on their State roads when you zoom in but for details about local and regional roads, follow the links to council websites. Note that it is an offence to drive past a road closed sign and insurance cover may be affected. The road also suffers damage which affects the safety of other drivers and is costly to repair. Please avoid walking or driving through flood waters, it may be deeper and faster flowing than anticipated. The road may have suffered extensive damage hidden beneath the water. There have been several flood rescues with people taking chances on flooded causeways. Several vehicles have been towed in the Condobolin area when drivers ignored signs. In a flood or storm emergency, call the SES on 132 500. For stock reconnaissance or fodder supply requests, call the Local Land Services Condobolin office. This road condition report and a map showing current closure information are on Council’s website http://www.lachlan.nsw.gov.au/ .
