It is located in upper ranges at an altitude of 7,200 ft and on a road that branches off from the Gangtok- Nathula Highway which leads to China. It is at a distance of 11kms from Gangtok, the state capital. Hanuman Tok temple has beautiful dioramas depicting pastimes of Lord Ramacandra. Climb to Hanuman Tok temple as road leads directly to the car park of the temple. From the temple one can also gaze spectacular views and horizons of Himalayan ranges. Besides there are also Buddhist monasteries in Sikkim. People of Sikkim are generally simple and peaceful. Recently direct flights have started from Kolkata to Pakyong (PYG) airport. One can also take taxi from Siliguri to travel to Gangtok, which will take about 4 hours to reach. Siliguri is in north West Bengal and is well connected from Bagdogra airport by direct flights from Kolkata and rest of India.
