Directions to ARC ARC is situated in The House, Kelston Park, Kelston, between Bath and Bristol, UK. Any problems finding us, please call 01225 758004. If you are driving please use the visitors’ car park. You will find us in the main house (with the large door between the pillars). There are taxis waiting outside the station: direct them to “Kelston Park” and the fare is around £15. If you require a taxi from somewhere other than the station, call: Abbey Taxis – 01225 444 444 V Cars – 01225 464 646 Bicycle If you are coming to ARC from Bath Spa train station by bike, turn left out of the station and proceed past the bus station. At the lights after the bus station you can only proceed straight on; however, immediately after this, you will need to be in the right hand lane. Carry on along this road, passing a car park on your right. You will then be met with a series of traffic lights. At the third set of lights, turn left into Monmouth Place. You are then on the upper Bristol Road. Royal Victoria Park will appear on your right. At the first fork veer right towards Bitton/Kelston; at the next fork veer left towards Bitton/Kelston. You are now on the Kelston Road. You will go past Oldfield Girls School on your right and you will then be going into the countryside. Go down into a dip, then up a short hill and just at the top you will see a gatehouse and a driveway to Kelston Park. If you get to Kelston village you have gone too far and need to turn round. You will find us in the main house (the large door between the pillars). Bus From Bath: Bath bus station is on Dorchester Street, opposite the railway station. A good map of the city centre is available here http://visitbath.co.uk/xsdbimgs/BathCityMap.pdf. Take the 332 or the 318/319 (which both leave from stand number 12) to Kelston Park. You can purchase tickets on the bus as long as you have coins or smaller notes. Often, the bus drivers do not have change for large notes. Once you have reached Kelston Park, you will see a gatehouse and a driveway to Kelston House. If not, please see the following: From Bath: Leave Bath on the Upper Bristol Road, passing the Royal Victoria Park on your right. At the first fork veer right towards Bitton/Kelston; at the next fork veer left towards Bitton/Kelston. You are now on the Kelston Road. As it emerges into the countryside, you will go down into a dip, then up a short hill and at the top you will see a gatehouse (now a private house) and a driveway signposted to Kelston Park. If you get to Kelston village you have gone too far and need to turn round. There is a visitors’ car park, and you will find us in the main house (the large door between the pillars) on the first floor. From the M32: Leave Junction 1 of the M32 (via Junction 19 of the M4). Keep in the left hand lane and bear left at the roundabout, sign-posted Downend, Kingswood. At the traffic lights continue straight ahead. At the next roundabout continue left on the ring road (A4174). From here you will need to continue around the ring road going straight across at a further 7 roundabouts. Note: you will pass a Travel Inn/Beefeater at the 3rd roundabout and go straight across the A420 at the 6th roundabout. At the 8th Roundabout you will see a leisure complex over to your right, and will need to go left, then straight across at the next roundabout and through a set of traffic lights. You will then approach the A431 via another roundabout. Take a left at this roundabout. Continue through Longwell Green on the main road by bearing left at the next two roundabouts. Drive through Bitton, Swineford and Kelston. About half a mile along the road from Kelston you will see a large house on your right. This is Kelston Park. The signposted entrance is at the top of a hill just after the gatehouse (now a private house). From the M4 at Junction 18 Leave the M4 at Junction 18, head towards Bath via the A46, then at the roundabout turn right towards Bristol on the A420. At Bridgeyate (there are double mini roundabouts after you have travelled through Wick) turn left, travel through Oldland Common, down the hill until you reach the roundabout at Bitton where you turn left. Then follow previous instructions through Swineford etc…. .
