League results Rosedale Open Match day 17 =========================== Gangsters United - the Ancients 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Raksiakus (21.) Booked: Henry Hill, Vinnie Jones ***--- The Mobsters were weakened by suspensions, but still had the upper hand at Sicilia Stadion. Still, that doesn't help much against bad luck, and the Oldtimers win through a lone goal in the first half, while the Mobsters wasted chance after chance throughout. Les Gaulois - Batt in Blax 0 : 3 Scorers: --- ***Locke (21.), James Marshall (7.), Matt Horne (35.) Even without a manager present, Batt in Blax dominate and win deservedly at Babaorum. This is not good for Les Gaulois' medal chances! Saturday Morning FC - Call of Cthulhu 2 : 0 Scorers: Fred Flintstone (9., 70.) ***--- Sent off: --- ***Daoloth (17.) Booked: Dr Claw ***Ghoul, Ubbo-Sathla The 2Ds take two important points at home against fellow relegation candidate the Lurking Fear, and entirely deserved it was too. However, since the Oldtimers won their match, this doesn't help them out of the relegation zone at this point. Call of Cthulhu just got another two points to catch up to the teams ahead, but with manager Botnen back on the training fields, we'll be sure to see more discipline in the coming games. Lower Tadfield Apocalypse - World Ambassadors 6 : 2 Scorers: Beau Barnett (20., 42.), Dick Turpin (76., 87.), Rudi van Hal (31.), Chalky (58.) ***Armor King (88.), Scott Troemel (19.) Booked: --- ***Armor King Key match between the top two teams, where the home team capitalised on the home advantage and were a little stronger, and a lot more efficient, thus in the end winning comfortably. Monkey Business - Camarilla Divided 0 : 9 Scorers: --- ***Nina the Unknown (21., 42., 84.), Catherine 'Secrets' Blum (49., 54.), Sebastien 'Decisive' Gibraltar (14., 90.), 'Martin' (2.), Jerry 'distant' Time (25.) The Pirates Wannabe get rolled over by a much stronger Generation X side, and remain the only team of the premiership yet to make double digits worth of points. Camarilla Divided climb past Les Gaulois and are now only one point behind second place. Mishima Zaibatsu - Sale Savoyards 1 : 0 Scorers: Lee Chaolan (64.) ***--- A rather slow match with little happening, but on a rare shot on goal, Lee Chaolan scored, and got the home team a fairly lucky home win. Rosedale Open Match day 18 =========================== World Ambassadors - Mishima Zaibatsu 2 : 0 Scorers: Armor King (56.), Bishamonten (68.) ***--- Booked: Warlock Dowling ***--- The Stabbers demonstrate being quite much stronger than Those Who Heed The Call, and successfully defend their second place, with two weeks to go. Les Gaulois - Monkey Business 0 : 0 In a rare spell of inefficiency, Les Gaulois are unable to score on any of their chances, and lose more ground in the medal race, whereas Monkey Business finally have their first 10 points, but still some room to cover to survive in the top flight. Saturday Morning FC - Lower Tadfield Apocalypse 0 : 4 Scorers: --- ***Dick Turpin (23., 69.), Rudi van Hal (51.), Chalky (44.) Booked: Rainbow Brite ***--- Tadfield has a very good weekend in the way of flattering scorelines, but were the best team at ACME Park. Four points lead with four games to go now... Call of Cthulhu - the Ancients 0 : 2 Scorers: --- ***Opisthocoelicaudia (38., 82.) The Ancients managed to get a little more play at Arkham Asylum, and remaining efficient, that was enough for a two goal win. Camarilla Divided - Sale Savoyards 6 : 0 Scorers: Nina the Unknown (12., 15., 46., 77.), Tom 'the late' Woods (69.), Catherine 'Secrets' Blum (27.) ***--- Generation X storms ahead with yet another big victory, establishing themselves in the top three. Sale Savoyards look to be in trouble, can manager Othen turn things around the coming weeks? Batt in Blax - Gangsters United 3 : 3 Scorers: Andre Adams (22.), James Marshall (42.), Ewan Chatfield (6.) ***Svarte Petter (60., 85.), Nina Myers (53.) Booked: --- ***Nina Myers, Scarface Batt in Blax continue doing well in manager Molloy's absence, and were the better team in this draw at Eden Park. Lexington League Match day 17 ============================== Dangermouse - Grunts United 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Terry Toopatch (82.) The Mouseketeers dominated the Mouse Dome in their manager's absence, but the Greenskins had sacrificed a lucky goat, and won through a goal late in the second half. Dead Dino Storage - NotReallyNewBremenCyberdruids 4 : 0 Scorers: White Willow (11.), Satellite (44.), 3rd And The Mortal (19.), Hole in the Wall (72.) ***--- DDS claim two deserved and important points against table jumbo NRNBC, increasing their chances of survival. The 5 Percent Community - Desassossego Blues 1 : 3 Scorers: --- ***Charles R Anon (45., 51., 72.) Penalties: 1 ***- (1 missed) Booked: Eirik Kvalfoss, Ole Vidar Soeviknes, Per Egil Swift, Potetmosen ***--- My guess is that T5PC didn't mean to do what they did on their team sheet, but they weren't far from being the first team to take a point off the Blues away from home. First Men of Rome - Flaaklypa FK 1 : 1 Scorers: Julius Caesar (54.) ***Jimmy McQuick (49.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: Brutus ***Mind, Rubino Gazzolini An almost exactly mathematically even match at the Collosseum, ending with the result that exactly matched the statistical average - 1-1. Car Park Rangers - Sheffield Thursday 3 : 2 Scorers: Jean Grey (50.), Reed Richards (75.), Bruce Wayne (17.) ***Slaking (40.), Dave Ricker (79.) A very even affair wherever evil-doers roam, but with the Powers converting more of their chances, and advancing past the Owls on the table. Monster Time - Brazil Star Conquerors 1 : 0 Scorers: Geoff Hallam (49.) ***--- Booked: Blister, Robert Billings ***Dida, Richard Ripley Monster Time could smell the relegation zone, so they went ahead and dominated against promotion contenders Brazil in the Dungeon, and won deservedly. Lexington League Match day 18 ============================== Flaaklypa FK - Monster Time 5 : 0 Scorers: Rubino Gazzolini (28., 59.), Roger Jurtappen (41.), Mind (85.) ***--- Penalties: 1 ***- Flaaklypa did what Brazil couldn't - beat Monster Time. Entirely deserved it was too, although the scoreline was flattering. Dead Dino Storage - Car Park Rangers 2 : 7 Scorers: After Crying (32.) ***Ben Grimm (14., 29., 38., 45., 69.), Bobby Drake (4., 48.) Penalties: 1 ***- (1 missed) Car Park take their promotion chasing seriously, with a crushing victory over DDS, who are still teetering on the brink of relegation. The 5 Percent Community - First Men of Rome 6 : 4 Scorers: Kjetil Loevvik (5., 12., 27.), Finn Orjan Saele (44.), Jeanette Kjolner (11.), Chim Kjolner (56.) ***Brutus (25., 49.), Horace (67.), Julius Caesar (8.) Booked: Potetmosen ***Brutus, Plutarch The Greedy Retards show they haven't forgot their karma spells - the Toga Boys were stronger at Straume Bedehus, but through an incredible conversion rate the home team won it. Desassossego Blues - Grunts United 1 : 2 Scorers: Vicente Guedes (79.) ***Karato (8.) Penalties: - ***1 There were still a few lucky goatbones left for this match, and the Greenskins win on a very dubious penalty - a lucky weekend that puts them in a much better position to survive till next year! Sheffield Thursday - Brazil Star Conquerors 1 : 0 Scorers: Jeff Gordon (86.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Mauro Silva Not a good weekend for Brazil, and their promotion appear significantly endangered. The Owls dominated, and could easily have won with more goals. NotReallyNewBremenCyberdruids - Dangermouse 1 : 1 Scorers: Mr. Dalton (70.) ***Miss Boathook (54.) Sent off: Dominic 'Victim' Hobson (59.) ***--- Booked: Mr. Dalton ***--- NRNBC get their first, fairly lucky, point in the Rosewood Cemetary, as they fought their way from no chance at all to having a realistic go at it through fighting spirit. Berkeley Conference Match day 17 ================================= All Black Moonlighters - Wizards of Oz 1 : 0 Scorers: Zinzan 'Droppy' Brooke (14.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Flying Monkey, Rincewind, Steve Waugh A very even match at Whangamata International, but the AB's have saved up their luck for some time, and decided now was a good time to spend it. Knights of the Round Ball - Real Johto 6 : 2 Scorers: Cnychwr son of Nes (33., 69.), Cadwy son of Gereint (1.), Goudurix (71.), Fercos son of Poch (58.), Thathal Honest Deceitful (51.) *** Chansey (11.), Kazuya Mishima (84.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Sent off: --- ***Poliwrath (61.) Booked: Cnychwr son of Nes, Edern son of Nudd, Rhuvawn the Radiant son of D., Thathal Honest Deceitful ***--- Real Johto get another smack in their quest for survival, as the Knights play stronger and even get a bit help from the referee. Ajax - Odd Athletics 4 : 9 Scorers: Maduro (48., 66.), Sneider (29.), Babel (5.) ***Odd K. Bentsen (4., 11., 61., 65.), Odd Nando Papaya (35., 89.), Odd Player (80.), Odd Harald Rex (39.) Penalties: - ***1 Booked: Babel, Charisteas, Gamera, Quincy ***--- Ajax tries hard against the Weirdoes, but couldn't really stand up to them. The Weirdoes now have five points of a margin to Real Johto, and look safer.
