He played Haydon Angel Jewel in the fifth chukka, scoring a run away goal from the lineout to start the chukka at the centre of the ground. From the preceding lineout immediately he took the ball again going all the way, this time on the near side, hitting the ball in the air, while heavily marked. The trophy was presented by HRH The Prince of Wales. • In the 2010 English high goal season she was played by Adolfo Cambiaso in the Dubai team to win the double, both the Queens Cup and the British Open Gold Cup. Adolfo Cambiaso changed her name to Mia Gatita and played her in at least two chukkas in the matches during the high goal season. In the final of the Gold Cup he played her in three different chukkas to claim the title. Angel Jewel was judged Runner up BPP. • Polo Times acclaimed Haydon Angel Jewel as the “world’s number one player Adolfo Cambiaso’s best UK mare” in a profile in August 2010 edition. • Haydon Angel Jewel performances in the UK have been recognised by featuring twice on the cover of the ASHS Journal. • In 2014 she returned to England after playing in America and Argentina to win the British Gold Cup at Cowdray Park with the Dubai team for a second time. • It was then onto Spain in 2014 with the Valiante team and they did not lose a game to win the Spanish Triple Crown played at Sotogrande. They won the Bronze, Silver and Gold Cups. • In the Silver Cup final Haydon Angel Jewel won BPP. • In 2015 she was played by 10 goaler Pablo MacDonough in the final of the Queen’s Cup replacing an injured Adolfo Cambiaso, losing in extra time. She then played in the semi-final of the 2015 British Gold Cup. • It was onto Spain again in 2015 where she played the Silver and Gold Cups, wining them both again for a second time. Achievements in America: • In the America Haydon Angel Jewel played in 26 Goal Triple Crown series which includes the C.V. Whitney Cup, the USPA Gold Cup and the U.S. Polo Open. • She won the C V Whitney Cup, the Gold Cup twice and played in the final of the US Open. • Haydon Angel Jewel was in the winning US Gold Cup team in 2013 and 2012. She was played by 10 goaler Pablo MacDonough who was awarded MVP Pro for December 2103 on the World Polo Tour. The all-conquering La Dolfina polo team did not lose a game and were raised to the perfect 40-goal team for 2014. • Won Tortugas Open 2013 • Won Hurlingham Open 2013 • Won Argentine Open 2013 • Haydon Angel Jewel played in the La Dolfina team which completed the extraordinary feat of winning all three 2013 Argentine Opens, the Triple Crown. It was the first in the team’s history and they went through undefeated. In recognition of this achievement, the La Dolfina team had their handicap raised as the only team in the world with the perfect and maximum 40 goals. • They won the Tortugas Open then the Hurlingham Open followed by the highest rated polo tournament in the world, the Argentine Open. It was played at Palermo “The Cathedral of Polo” in front of sell-out crowds. • She was played under her Argentine name, Mi Gatita, by 10 goaler Pablo MacDonough, who was recognised as one of the players of the series.
