An introduction to VEKA plc setting the standard in PVC-U Not all PVC-U systems companies are the same -VEKA makes the difference All around the world, for over four decades, the name of VEKA has come to stand for the very best in PVC-U window profile systems for the construction, refurbishment and home improvement industries. VEKA products such as: u Matrix 70 and the fully sculptured Matrix FS Window Systems u Fully Reversible Window System u Vertical Slider Window System u Composite, PVC-U, French and Patio doors systems …have each set new standards by which others are measured. An ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and product development ensures that the product range will continue to evolve as technology, the market and the environment demand. 1967: 1986: 1989: 1990: 1991: 1993: 1994: 1995: Founded in Opens UK extrusion Introduction of Launches a major The name’s Then VEKA plc. VEKA Group is also at the forefront of environmenta l issues , from the world’s first purpose-built PVC-U recycling plant to the UK’s first ever BFRC ‘A’ Rated window as well as the use of only Calcium Organic stabilisers in virgin polymer. VEKA’s insistence on using its own fleet for product transportation enables – among many benefits – fuel efficiencies that can significantly reduce the product’s carbon footprint. VEKA plc, as part of the worldwide VEKA Group, remains a wholly family-owned business, just as it has always been since its foundation in 1967, which stands as an ironclad assurance of a commitment to spanning future generations as well as those past. 1996: 2002: 2004: 2005: 2007: 2008: 2010: Launch of Network Massive expansion Launch of the Matrix UK’s first window to VEKA Recycling plant Massive expansion Launch of the new VEKA, a unique plan adding a Fully Sculptured gain BFRC ‘A’ Rating opens in UK. of product range In-Line Sliding partnership with £10 million System (FS). is a VEKA window. with new: Patio Door fabricators and state-of-the-art • Fully Reversible VEKA plc debuts at installers to deliver warehousing facility. • Vertical Slider Fensterbrau exhibition the quality message • VEKA Composite in Germany straight to the Door System. consumer. VEKA created the first ever purpose-built PVC-U window recycling facility, processing old windows to such a purity to make new windows, rather than lower grade products. We believe it is only 'true' recycling when it is a closed loop process, extending a window's life to a theoretical infinity. Also, in the last few years, VEKA has supported the design of the UK’s first BFRC ‘A’ Rated window. All our transport routes are carefully planned to cut mileage and reduce emissions. All vehicles in our fleet are less than five years old; several of them run on LPG rather than diesel and each is able to carry more products than the industry average. VEKA has also shown its commitment to the environment by being among the first in the industry to throw out lead stabilisers in favour of the Calcium Organic alternative. VEKA is accredited with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems Licence No EMS 59308). - a direct link to the homeowner Working alongside VEKA is Network VEKA, a dedicated group of independent VEKA fabricators and installers committed to raising the standards of quality and integrity in an industry too often better known for the excesses of its worst operators. It was founded in 1996 by a few fabricators and installers who realised that they would earn the trust of homeowners if they could uphold the strict high standards of quality, training and guarantees that the organisation is now well-known for. Nearly 140 companies of all sizes now work the Network VEKA way, carrying out annually around 16,000 installations throughout Britain and Ireland to a collective value of over £65million – and enjoying an average installation value that remains significantly higher than the industry average.
