(Notice2) SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT OF SEDGEMOOR PARISH OF BRIDGWATER Temporary Closure of Durleigh Road TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset have made an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Durleigh Road from the junction with Northfield Road north eastwards for a distance of 30 metres. This order will enable Wessex Water to carry out install new 225mm dia sewer and associated manholes to connect new housing development to existing public sewer network in Durleigh Road. Gas diversion works to be carried out under this closure prior to installation of sewer by Wales and West in this road. The Order becomes effective on 02 February 2015 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 4 weeks. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE From the western end of the closure proceed in north westerly and south westerly directions along Durleigh Road, Spaxton Road, High Street, Bush Road and Lawyers Hill to the junction with Broomyland Hill. Turn right and proceed in a north westerly direction along Broomyland Hill, Tuxwell Lane and Plainsfield Road to the junction with Over Stowey Road. Turn right and proceed in a north easterly direction along Over Stowey Road to the junction with the A39. Turn right and proceed in south easterly and north easterly directions along the A39 to the junction with West Street. Turn right and proceed in a south westerly direction along West Street and Durleigh Road to the eastern end of the closure, and vice versa.
