ADOPTS 45 RAILWAY STATIONS NATIONWIDE CST, MUMBAI CENTRAL AND DADAR IN MUMBAI NIRANKARI BABA INAUGURATES THE CAMPAIGN Mumbai, October 3, 2015: On and 2nd October 2015, the birth anniversary of two great Indian leaders namely Mahatma Gandhi Ji and Lal Bahadur Shashtri Ji, guided by the Noble Intention of cleanliness as a service to mankind, approx 1000 volunteers of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) and the members of Nirankari Sewa Dal reached at each of the three stations in Mumbai viz: Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Dadar and Mumbai Central and cleaned up all the three major station in Mumbai Metropolitan. This was a part of the commitment of joining the Indian Railways in its National Cleanliness programme “Swach Rail, Swach Bharat” as per request letter written to His Holiness Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj by Hon. Minister for Railways Shri Suresh Prabhu. In the nationwide campaigh Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation has adopted 45 main Railway Stations across the country for cleanliness on October 2, 2015. Three major Railway Stations of Mumbai namely Chhatripati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai Central and Dadar are included in the drive. Around 7.30 am the volunteers of the SNCF and Nirankari Sewa Dal assembled at the three stations and after saying a small prayer, attributing this chance of service to mankind to the Formless God, and upon receiving the necessary instructions began at 8.30 am cleaning up the various platforms and amenities provided, overhead FOB’s for passenger and public, ticket counters, reservation counters, pillars, window grills, sign- boards, main entrance, parking area, vertical walls on these stations of both Western and Central Railways, local and main sections stretched over for a period of 4hrs in pre-planned and disciplined manner. Noteworthy, this activity will be repeated every month on a convenient day for a period of 4hrs at all the adopted 45 stations. Amongst the dignitaries who visited the campaign were Mr.Rahul Shevale, Member of Parliament at Dadar. Mr.Shailendra Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager (WR), Mr Sanjeev Rajvanshi, ADRM (WR) and Mr M. K. Singh, Station Manager at Mumbai Central. All of them appreciated the selfless services of Nirankari Devotees. The Entire campaign was launched on the same day, in the benign presence of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj and Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji at New Delhi Railway station in the presence of more than 20,000 volunteers of the SNCF, Members of Sant Nirankari Sewa Dal and other devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission. 2 Addressing the special inaugural function of Swachh Rail – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on New Delhi Railway Station His Holiness said that Cleanliness must become our culture. Every citizen of the country should not only be aware of the need to keep the surroundings clean but act with a sense of realization and responsibility. Let cleanliness be a natural part of our manners, our etiquette. Amongst the 45 stations, in addition to the above, those included are Delhi Main, New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Ambala Cantt, Bhodwal Mazri (Haryana), Varanasi, Lucknow JN., Lucknow Char Bagh, Dehradun, Haridwar, Gwalior, Agra Cantt, Allahabad, Kanpur Central, Mathura, Ajmer, Jaipur, Udaipur City, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Kota, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Indore, Nagpur, Pune, Patna, Dhanbad, Vishakhapatnam, Bhubaneshwar, Tata Nagar, Ernakulam, Chennai Central, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Raipur, Bangalore City,Ratnagiri, SwantWadi, Rajapur and Chiplun. Service to humanity has always been an important mode of expression of man’s devotion to God. Guided by the same spirit, the Sant Nirankari Mission has been organizing blood donation camps and carrying out tree plantation and cleanliness drives in India and abroad for the past several years.
