CABIN PRESS RELEASE Safran provides interior for Mitsubishi SpaceJet Family Paris Air Show, 19 June 2019 Safran Cabin is providing full scale integrated interiors for the Mitsubishi SpaceJet family of Aircraft. These integrated interiors include galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, passenger service units, sidewalls, ceiling panels and other components that create the customer experience during flight operations. Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation announced its SpaceJet family of aircraft on June 13, 2019. SpaceJet is the commercial name for the product family that includes the SpaceJet M90 (previously known by the developmental designation of MRJ90) and a new member, the SpaceJet M100, a new standard in regional air travel. The Mitsubishi SpaceJet family of aircraft is designed to address demand in the regional jet market by delivering ultimate comfort for passengers and unmatched aircraft performance with more profit potential for airlines. The new SpaceJet M100 will incorporate the ingenious next generation Safran Cabin ECOS overhead pivot bins, providing greater and more efficient baggage management, and improved functionality from a new overhead bin latching concept. This integrated interior has the most advanced interior design created with Mitsubishi's customers in mind. "As we developed the SpaceJet M100, we spoke to the top airlines and many customers. One of the priority pieces of feedback we received is that they want more space for carry-on bags", explained Henry Tam, Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation Head of New Program Development. "We decided that the best way to accomplish that is with a pivot bin and the team at Safran was able to work with us on the design and create a very spacious solution". "We congratulate Mitsubishi on SpaceJet M100 that offers the most spacious and comfortable cabin in its class to drive improved passenger experience, and take pride in partnering with Mitsubishi", said Norman Jordan, CEO of Safran Cabin. Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation will debut the SpaceJet M100 cabin interior at the Paris Airshow, from June 17- 20, 2019. Attendees can visit Pavilion B6 to see the cabin mockup on a first-come-first-served basis June 18- 20, 2019.
