Downloading OverDrive eBooks to your Sony Reader Wi-Fi PRS-T2 Step 1: If this is the first time you are turning on your Sony Reader, you will be prompted to enter location and time information for your device. Once you have entered this information, you will be presented with the home screen for the Sony Reader. Step 2: Tap the “Applications” button and tap the “Settings” icon. Step 3: You will need to connect to a Wi-Fi network to complete the setup. To connect, tap “Wireless Network Settings” and tap the box beside the “Wi-Fi” option to turn on the Reader’s wireless connection. Step 4: Once the Reader’s Wi-Fi has turned on, tap your preferred Wi-Fi network to connect to it. If the network is secured, enter the password. Your preferred Wi-Fi network will indicate that it is now connected. Step 5: You will need to create a Sony ID to borrow library eBooks. To register for a Sony ID, go back to the home screen and tap the “Reader Store” button. Next, tap the “Create Account” button to register a new Sony ID. Step 6: Proceed through the three steps to register your Sony ID. After you have completed the registration, return to the home screen, and tap “Applications”. To initiate the process of borrowing library eBooks, tap the “Public Library” icon. If this is the first time you have used the browser, you will have to accept the license agreement for it. You will then see the “Welcome to the Public Library Service” screen and will have to tap the “Discover More Here” button to continue. Step 8: In the Find a Library search box, type “Lethbridge” and tap the button to begin the search. Step 9: Select your home library and tap the button. Then tap the button beside the Chinook Arch Regional Library System listing. Step 10: The OverDrive Chinook Arch collection will load. Tap the “Login” button to continue. Step 11: You will be taken to the Login page. Type in your library card number (14 digits, without spaces) and PIN. Tap the “Login” button to proceed. Step 12: Search for an eBook you would like to read by tapping the button. Step 13: When you have found an item you wish to borrow, tap the “Add to Cart” button. Step 14: On the My Cart page, tap “Proceed to Checkout” to start the checkout process. If items are not immediately checked out, they will be held in your cart for up to 45 minutes. Once you have confirmed that the information is correct, tap the “Confirm check out” button. Step 16: You will be taken to the Download page. Tap the “Download” button to download the eBook to your Reader. Step 17: When the download completes, you will see the icon appear at the top of you Reader’s screen. Step 18: Your downloaded book will appear under the Recently Added section of the home screen. Tap the cover to open the eBook. Step 19: You may now begin reading your eBook.
