WHEREAS, Trisha Stillwell has been a lifelong resident of Edmond, Oklahoma; and WHEREAS, Trisha Stillwell is a junior pharmacy major at the University of Oklahoma and a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority; and WHEREAS, Trisha Stillwell represented her hometown of Edmond, Oklahoma, in the 1995 Miss Oklahoma pageant and won first-runner-up position; and WHEREAS, Trisha Stillwell, as Miss Oklahoma County, was crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 1997, on November 2, 1996, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and will be touring the state during her reign; and WHEREAS, Trisha Stillwell, Miss Oklahoma USA, placed in the top ten finalists during the Miss USA pageant during February 1997 in Shreveport, Louisiana. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 46TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN: THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature congratulates Trisha Stillwell, Miss Oklahoma USA, on her outstanding accomplishments and successes. THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature praises Trisha Stillwell's many endeavors. THAT a copy of this resolution be distributed to Trisha Stillwell, Miss Oklahoma USA; and her parents, Jerry and Lorna Stillwell. Adopted by the Senate the 25th day of February, 1997.
