Carl Kasell Visits Veteran newscaster, Wait, Wait judge, magician. GLT presents An evening with Renaissance man Veteran broadcaster Carl Kasell's radio career spans more than 50 years. He is the official judge and score­ keeper for NPR's weekly news quiz show, Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me!®, which premiered in January 1998. RADIO Kasell's voice is one heard oftern delivering news during I Morning Edition®, a role he has held since the FACES program's inception in 1979.
