The Foundation Week programme with the theme "India's resilience: Atmanirbhar roadmap towards USD 5 trillion economy," will be addressed by the Prime Minister on the concluding day of December 19. ASSOCHAM will also call upon the Prime Minister of India to share his perspective about Indian and global economies with Indian industry. The week-long programme has been broken down into different sub-themes as: Transforming Indian agriculture and the food value chain to be addressed by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Mr Narendra Singh Tomar; India becoming a competitive global manufacturing hub to be addressed by Railway, Commerce and Industry Minister Mr Piyush Goyal. Participants may receive a flavour of the forthcoming Budget from the address of Finance Minister, Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman while Road Transport and Highways Minister, Mr Nitin Gadkari would be sharing the finer details of the ambitious infrastructure pipeline. www.internationalnewsandviews.com "As a spirited nation, India has braved the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. Mrs Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Textiles and Women & Child Development would be sharing her thoughts on how India can leverage its embedded knowledge and tradition to build a better future. Yet another critical area of labour reforms would be deliberated threadbare with Labour Minister, Mr Santosh Gangwar. "Labour is very important stakeholders and its welfare is on top of the industry agenda," the ASSOCHAM secretary general said. Several other ministers including - Mr Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel; Mr D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers; Mr Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises; Mr Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State for Tourism and Mr Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) would share their valuable inputs with the industry leaders who, in turn, would put forth their experience of dealing with the pandemic and how the economic recovery is shaping up.
