Stewart is an active member of the PIA Young Planners Committee and UDIA Outlook Committee, and in 2015 was awarded the PCA Young Achiever Lighthouse Award, and PIA WA Young Planner of the Year Award for his contributions to the WA property industry. Stewart is driven to find innovative ways to advocate for the development of Perth, and explore new ideas to promote best practice planning. This model encourages a higher level of discussion and assessment for ongoing design excellence of the city. City Planners can interactively analyse, experiment and review planning proposals in the Perth context. Examination within a highly detailed environment ensures the full scope of impacts and opportunities are assessed. 1:20pm Affordable Housing: infill, Simon Moore density and multi-unit living Director Complex Projects, WA Housing Authority This presentation will outline the Housing Authority’s strategic direction for the delivery of affordable housing, focusing on high quality, affordable medium and higher density housing outcomes, as well as Housing’s interest in innovation that has the capacity to be replicated in the affordable housing sector. Simon Moore has extensive experience in the Perth property industry, in both private and government sectors. As Director Complex Projects he oversees major precinct developments, as well large-scale infill and transit orientated developments which are pivotal to the delivery of affordable housing, and are contributing to the implementation of state infill policies. 1:40pm The Irrational City Jonathan Daly Director Studio HUSS Jonathan Daly is a founding partner at HUSS (Human Understanding of Social Spaces), a design research practice exploring the relationship between the spaces people live, work and play in and human psychology and physiology.
